Simple food in a funky roadside diner. 10/11/2007

Formerly The Galley Grill, Crossbones is an cartoonishly decorated pirate themed roadside diner with a simple menu. Breakfasts offer the usual selections found in most diner type establishments and the lunch and dinner menu follows suit with salads, burgers, sandwiches, meat loaf, a few seafood items and basic chicken and meat choices. Not a place to get a good quality steak dinner. They advertise a raw bar but it may or may not be available on a given night and freshness may be an issue. Portions are average on most items. Service can be a problem if they are busy or the server is attending to friends at another table. Crossbones is a place to grab a quick bite to eat and patrons should not expect too much beyond basic, sometimes spotty service, simple food selections with little attention paid to presentation. Pros: Inexpensive. Good parking in front. Cons: Spotty service, limited selections on a basic diner style menu. more
