I tried MBF for boarding this past weekend, going against my gut feeling. I went to pick up my dog and they brought me the wrong dog. My dog is a brown and white border collie, they brought me a black and white. After they finally found her(15 mins later)and with the help of a photo that I happened to have, she was scared to death. As we looked her over we found that she had been trimmed all over, her belly had been shaved. They require a bath after a 2 day stay, which we were expecting..not being groomed. The Mgr came out and looked over the grooming record and said that the groomer got the wrong name on the grooming record, the name was Mandy (ours is Brandi). They don't have a good system for keeping track of the dogs.
MBF makes you fill out a card on your dog when you board with them, signing at the bottom that you agree to the services that has been indicated on the card, but then they can't follow them. They also make you indicate if anyone else can pick up your dog, but the person that brings you your dog doesn't even ask you for your name.
When we were trying to find our dog we offered to go back and find her and were told we were not allowed to go back there.. what are we hiding??
I will NEVER take her there again and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone either.
Pros: nothing good to say
Cons: Couldn't find my dog, brought me the wrong dog, lost her bed, shaved her fur instead of just giving a bath
