I was referred to Dr. Shipley for a biopsy. He consulted with me about what the problem was and what type of surgery would be required to remove it. He may be a bit blunt for some but, I thought his chairside/bedside manner was fine. \r
\r
He explained the surgical procedure, as well as the anesthesia that would be used so that I would know exactly what was going to take place. He also spoke with me about the potential pain and the healing time needed.\r
\r
Surgery must have been backed up the day I had it because it seemed like forever before I was called back to the Pre-op room. After a check of vitals and one last rundown of what would be taking place, it was all over in what seemed like just a few minutes. In the post op room, my vitals were again checked. I was released about 30 minutes following, once my vitals were checked and found normal.\r
\r
As for pain following surgery. It was minimal and no prescription meds were needed. Recovery was quicker than estimated.\r

Dr. Shipley and the staff working with him during my visits have been pleasant and professional. I'll see him again should I need further medical attention in his field.
Pros: Accesible location by car and public transit. Pleasant office and waiting room. Nice Staff
Cons: Dr. Shipley appears young and may look younger than he actually is. Always a drawback for healthcare professionals
