Sherry, Jonathan, and Lynda have put their heart and soul into this new women-only gym, and it works! Personalized attention, no ""downtown attitude"" like at other gyms in the financial district, and none of the flaws of Curves, either. Just good folks providing a GREAT service, the equipment is new and always clean, easy to operate, and will scale as you get in shape (I maxed out the Curves hydraulic equipment). Here there is the best of both worlds, and plenty of room to work out, stretch, and a great space for working out to a big-TV video if you are resting from the weights. My husband has commented about how much happier I am when I come home after a workout. Location can't be beat if you work anywhere near Spear and Mission or Market. I couldn't make myself go to that other gym more than a few times, but I'm on a roll here at Butterfly!
Pros: Very positive, friendly staff. Great equipment, other members ""just folks"" with great attitudes!
Cons: No showers or lockers, change room is either the bathroom or a curtained off area.
