I've tried Virgilio's 3 times and each time I was underwhelmed considering the hype it gets. Of the 3 times twice I ordered to go and once I ate in. The time I ate in was the day after Xmas 2006 and the girl attending the counter marked our pizza to-go and forgot about us, the pizza sat in a box while we waited. When the mistake was realized no apology was offered and they just popped the pizza back in the oven for a reheat, not a huge sin since I like my pizza room temp anyway. It was the waiting that annoyed me. Also considering there wasn't much of a crowd, most tables were empty, that the tables next to us were dirty and in need of bussing was a bit of a drag. I know the young girls that attend the counter don't make much money but clean the table when the customers leave sheesh.\r

My biggest complaint is the canned toppings, who uses canned mushrooms, no freakin way is that ""authentic Italian"" like they boast. However considering the alternatives the pizza is pretty good compared to chain delivery pizza. In my opinion the best pizza in Lakewood is served right across the street at Whole Foods Market. \r

As far as Virgilio's goes, I'll eat there again as long as I don't have to wait. To fight the crowd on a Fri night and wait in that disorganized line thing they have going on at the pickup counter isn't worth it. But I'll choose Virgilio's over Pizza Hut or the like anyday. \r

To sum it up with a final comment, it's good not great.
Pros: cheap
Cons: bad service
