There's a good reason why this place is so damn popular -- the food is terrific. When friends want to go there, I sometimes dread the crowded restaurant. But, by the time I'm eating, I'm so glad I'm there. You don't have to pay this much for sushi, but you're really getting a great evening. If you can eat here on a weeknight or an off-hour, you can probably avoid the worst of the crowds. Definitely worth trying if you've never been there. Then, after dinner, go across the street to the coffee shop.
Pros: Delicious food, great night out location.
Cons: Frequently packed to the gills.
