I have been visiting Coronado Island for years now, and we have always stopped into Island Pasta for a meal or two. We were there just the other day and I decided to venture away from my usual (Tortellini with Chicken) and got a BBQ Chicken Pizza. It was completely awful. The topping, including the cheese seemed to be quality but the crust was something out of outer space. The crust was like some sort of pre-made cracker. It was obviously manufactured, which would have been fine if it tasted good. Instead the pizza crust was stale and gummy. None of the flavor of the sauce and the toppings didn't penetrate the dough or crust (whatever you want to call it). The best thing I can compare it to is a Lunchable's Pizza (yes, the pre-made lunch snack from Oscar Meyer's). My boyfriend had the Chicken Parmigana and was displeased as well.
