I decided to join this gym last August. Immediately after, I got a better offer from my spouse's gym so I switched. Although Mavericks telephoned to confirm my cancellation and assured me that my credit card would not be charged, I was indeed charged. Multiple attempts to correct this have resulted in being directed to staff without the authority to rectify the situation or (mostly empty) promises that someone would get back to me. I've only received one phone call back; in early November an employee telephoned and promised that I would get my refund ""soon"". It's January and I'm still waiting, so I've filed a complaint. Legal action may be next.
