We were excited to go to peter luger's from all the hype and we were very dissapointed. We went w/ a party of 6 and were late for our reservations due to construction on the bqe. we called for directions and the hostess was worthless. Then when we finally arrived the maitre d was rude to us that we were late. We finally sat and the waiter spoke broken english so had a hard time understanding our very simple order. I don't eat steak so before coming i made sure to check the menu to see if there was anything else for me to eat and there was, the burger. Upon ordering they would not let me order the burger, they said it was a lunch special and for kids at night. This was not right since nowhere on the menu or online did it say this so i spoke to a mgr and explained i came all this way to eat a salad? so they complied but were not nice about it. Later that night I was sick from the food and spent the rest of my wkd recooperating. Overall we were not impressed with the service or food at Peter Luger's in Brooklyn. For the value you can go to many other steakhouses that the taste is much better!
Pros: free fenced in parking lot w/ attendant
Cons: rude hostess/host/mgr/waiters, got sick from food - waay too greasy & fatty
