For first timers, Quatman's can be intimidating. The waiters are downright mean, they don't smile and don't talk. When you walk in make sure you glance at the chalkboard behind the bar to the right. It has the daily special. if you ask what the special is, everyone will ridicule you. Also, don't ask for anything special on your burger, it's not available. Don't request special cooking instructions, you get it how they cook it-which is medium-medium well. Get the vegetable soup but make sure it's the second day-it's better. There is no check. Get up, line up at the deli and tell them what you had. Pay with cash. Turn and leave quickly.
Pros: It's quick and edible, the wait stafr is two old guys
Cons: This is minimalism at best. At lunch, the Price is Right is on the 19"" black and white
