I am so suprised by some of the negative comments below. I have been to Bess at least 4-5 times since it opened, and the food has been consistently great. Perhaps some of the hard negatives are from other restaurant owners? I am clearly stumped.\r
The steak frite dish is by far my favorite, mac and cheese is to die for and the shepherds pie is a recipe I wish I could steal. The staff has indeed ""worked out the kinks"" as far as Im concerned and has been attentive and friendly each time. \r
The no camera rule? So what! This rule is in place in a lot of exclusive places. Take picturess before and after you go if you must. Give me a break. \r
Bess has great food and a great wine list. We will be back!
Pros: Great Food, great Wine, friendly staff and a nice private atmosphere
Cons: Maitre De ""Manager"" guy was a bit pompous..
