I recently moved to Austin, and I have had the Oasis recommended to me by many people including our realtor. Upon having visiting family in town, I thought it would be a good place to show what Austin has to offer. We were greatly disappointed with the lack of service, food, and atmosphere. We went on a Friday evening and chose to sit inside since it was chilly outside. Initially, we were unsure on what level the restaurant was located and when we finally reached the third level, we weren't greeted by anyone. The room was full of senior citizens, so we thought it may have been a private party of some sort. We went over to the bartendar and asked him if we were in the right place. He stated that we were and we needed to seat ourselves. I felt like I was walking into a cafeteria such as Luby's. The view was beautiful but did not compensate for everything else it lacked. The menu was comparable to any ""burger joint"" but the food was unappetizing. It was very bland and unsavory. The best thing we ordered were the nachos, but it's hard to mess those up.
