Chef Prudhomme Weathers Hurricane Katrina! Big Easy Stops Here! Fabulous! 1/26/2007

I don't know why I'm just now getting around to writing this review on K-Paul's, since it was last summer, 2006, when I had the ultimate Big Easy dinner. Hurricane Katrina, did not destroy one of the best restaurants in The Quarter, so please come back and give them your support. I had dinner reservations for two, but my dining partner, was stuck in some alley bar, with an alley babe. Well that wasn't going to stop me. I've been a fan of Chef Paul for years, all his cookbooks, spices, and television shows down pat. That sweet hostess, led me to my table, and the feast began. It was Turtle Soup, tastes similiar to chicken, with chunks of turtle meat, topped with fresh spinach and chopped hard boiled egg. It was so rich, I just took my sweet time, and enjoyed. I had already done the seafood thing, several times around the quarter, so for something different, it was the Pork Chop. Not just any pork chop, mind you. This was a Blackened Stuffed Pork Chop, stuffed with Ricotta, Asiago, and Mozzerella cheeses. A big double cut one. This was pure heaven, and I'm glad I didn't have to share the moment with anyone. Desert--Well I had already had bread pudding several times, so it was the Sweet Potato Pecan Pie. I'm from Georgia, and I've never eaten Pecan Pie like this. Service was terrific, and the big guy himself stopped by the table, and it was more than a foodie's perfect meal! Pros: Legenday Cajun/Creole Chef's Masterpiece's! Awsome! Cons: None! Are You Kidding! more
