Decided to try Nelore for our anniversary and left with mixed feelings. The good: It's small and not "typical Houston" in terms of atmosphere. It's also a place to go if you just want to eat until you fall out of your chair. The meat servers were constantly around, so it didn't take long to get refilled. The bad: The meat was average. The bottom sirloin was juicy, but the rest wasn't what it should be at a Churrascaria. Most of the meat was a bit on the dry side and the filet even included some fat (ugh). Likewise, getting attention from a waiter (not meat server) was nearly impossible. It took 30 minutes for the waiter to bring the check and another 15 to return it with my credit card. We weren't the only ones with this problem, as a man accross the restaurant finally shouted accross the restaurant for a waiter to stop by.
If you're into gluttony with average meat and a reasonably stocked salad bar, this is for you...but don't expect to see me there.
Pros: Tons of meat. Quick service from meat servers. Good Valet.
Cons: Table waiters were slow, most of the meat was on the dry side.
