Much like the myriad of bottle blondes running around Hollywood, there are many venues claiming to perform Improv Comedy. Improv - as in ""improvisational"" - means ""made up on the spot."" While the Juggernaut that is the Groundlings claims to be a haven of improv, one only has to visit a show to witness how heavily scripted the ""improv"" portion of the evening actually is. Improv Olympic, on the other hand, is truly a 'fly by the seat of the pants' affair and 99% of the time produces amazingly hilarious results.
