This place uses as much fresh, locally grown food as possible, as a result it really has some great food. The biggest issues don't come from it's older, home-grown staff but from the newbies and from the long long waits for food. Here in Chappell Hill/Brenham time is not of the essence but sometimes the wait can grow long and your lunch turns into an hour and a half ordeal. Now that you're settled in for the long haul though, you should more often than not, partake in the pie. That's what makes Bevers great, tons of creative, interesting, flat out fabulous pies. The ladies that have been there for the long haul make the place worth going back to, but the newer waitstaff leaves a little to be desired.
