I am fortunate enough to call Jewel of India my favorite neighborhood restaurant. My children and I have been eating there since they were born. The service, always with a smile, is refreshing after a long day of standing in lines, and being treated like a stranger. However, while the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and always intimately Indian, and the service is perfect, every time...it's the food that has my family eating out of its hand. The traditional Indian sauces and gravies are rich, creamy, perfectly spiced and consistently delicious. The Chicken Ticca Masala, my personal favorite, is always made with tender, boneless white meat...and there is NEVER a weird chicken bite, which I almost always find other places. The chai tea is always piping hot, and perfectly sweet, and offered up as a perfect compliment to a delicious meal. \r
