Avoid entirely!!! 9/15/2006

Despite the hours of operation to begin at 10 A.M. on the weekends at 10:25 the doors were locked. The hours of operation are posted on the door as opening at 10 and the neon Open sign was lit. The ""manager"" (or so she said when I asked to speak with the manager) was vaccuuming the floors (shouldn't this be done prior to the opening time). My wife and I had traveled 35 miles looking forward to a dim sum experience as listed in the previous reviews. When I knocked at the door and the window, she summarily ignored me while continuing to vaccuum. When I called the number listed on Citysearch the hours were stated the same as on the door and here. She finally came over and I asked what were the hours of operation. She said that she was alone and was frightened thus keeping the door locked. That it was located in a bad part of town and people would come in only wishing to use the washroom. WHAT? This had nothing to do with us. Perhaps because she saw two Anglos she didn't believe that we wished to dine. What a horrendous experience! I guess the moral of today was that to be allowed in during the beginning of the day, one must bring an Asian since us poor Anglos must not enjoy the Dim Sum experience. We have had Dim Sum in a number of West Coast cities and have NEVER had an experience such as this. Beware! Pros: There are no pros Cons: See review more
