I've been a fan of Flying Fish for quite awhile. That said, after reading other reviews, I can understand some differences of opinion. The time I visited and sat upstairs, was not particularly satisfactory. So, I would strongly recommend that you sit in or near the bar. I've always had good service at the bar. The Oyster Happy hour is always good. Because of the hard surfaces, this place does tend to be quite noisy. My favorite dishes are the ""Sister in Law mussels"" and the Fish Taco platter. These are always tasty and fun for sharing. The warm grappa brownie can be terrific, but I've also had it when it was just mediocre; it's best when it's still molten inside.
