If you have been to Sichuan and loved the food, you will know that this is the real deal, and you have found a way to satisfy that craving without traveling half-way around the world. It is NOT Americanized so expect very pungent chillis, numbing sichuan peppercorns, lip puckering pickled peppers and other very strong characteristic flavors. My Chinese husband and I have eaten in Sichuan restaurants in many cities in the US and Canada, and this one outshines anything in North America and compares with the best in China, for home-style Sichuanese cooking. Yes, it's crowded, loud, hot in the summer, and lacking dim lights and candles, but so what! The crowds of Chinese who flock here do so for good reason.
Pros: The food!! The FOOD!! THE FOOD!!
Cons: Can be crowded. Service can be slow when crowded, but staff is always nice.
