On a recent visit ""home"" to Massachusetts, I stumbled upon Franklin Mills Store. I was in heaven! An amazing & incomparable stock of wonderful yarns, rich upholstery fabrics, sewing stuff, more fabrics. But the BEST part is the warm service by very knowledgable employees and the lovely old brick building filled with New England charm and immaculately kept. I bought yarn for two projects and mailed the yarn back to Los Angeles - the prices were unbeatable. My daughter found three upholstery fabrics in complimentary Willam Morris-esque prints, to redo three chairs - for under $100! I highly recommend Franklin Mills Store.
Cons: That we do not have anything like this in Los Angeles!
