I am a Mexican-American thirty-something male born and raised in the city of Los Angeles and rarely do I experience a refreshing spin on my beloved culture's timeless traditions. This place seems to capture every facet of Mexican-American authenticity in it's cuisine, imagery, and entertainment with sincerity, respect, and even a slight sense of humor. It's somewhat out of my character to write or read a review but I could not help myself after reading a few ignorant remarks regarding the reluctance to pay $15 for ""Mexican food""??? Try Taco Bell on Vine! (FYI) The dim-lit ambience is also another accurate characteristic of Cantinas of new and old in Mexico and throughout the southwest! Viva La Velvet Margarita!!! C/S
