Where do I begin? The whole experience was such a mess. I scheduled the move several weeks in advance, gave a list of our belongings to the coordinator, and was given an estimate of 5-6 hours for a 2-man crew. I was told someone would call to confirm a week ahead of time, but did not receive any call. I had to call the office the day before to make sure someone was coming. We were told crew would arrive between 8:00 and 8:30; they arrived at 9:00. We were charged 90 minutes of travel time, even though their office is less than 30 minutes from the site. One of the crew was extremely sick and not functioning at full capacity -- both my husband and I ended up catching whatever virus he had and we were also sick for two weeks! Seven hours after they arrived, they still didn't have the truck loaded, even though my husband and I were both carrying boxes out of the basement and to the curb. We had to tell them to quit loading and go to the new house to unload since we were already well past our estimated price/time period. They were beginning to get very sloppy and careless with our belongings, so we just had them put everything in the garage at our new house because we didn't want them scratching up the walls, doors and floors of our new house like they did at the old house. Several items arrived scratched and/or broken. When the office called to follow-up, I expressed that I wasn't satisfied, and was told, "Okay, thanks for your time, have a nice day!" So I followed up with a letter of complaint to the president, and in response I received a letter filled with inaccuracies, and basically said they did everything right, it was all our fault if we were unhappy. In the letter, the president conceded that the crew arrived 45 minutes late, so she was refunding us for 15 minutes of work time, or $27.50. Where is the logic in THAT? In the end, the move cost us $1,200 to move a 3-bedroom house, and we ended up moving 25%-30% of our belongings ourselves.
