Good, simple Senegalese food in Fort Green 8/27/2006

Keur N'Deye is a small restaurant serving simple. delicious and authentic West African (Senegalese) food for reasonable prices in the Fort Green area of Brooklyn. Try the mafe' (a peanut stew) with vegetables or blue fish. It's habit-forming. So are the light, crunchy fish fritters. All dishes come with either couscous or brown rice. The decor is simple and the service is relaxed. You don't have to feel wierd dining alone here, but it's nice enough for a casual dinner-date. A must-try in Brooklyn. Pros: Good food, low prices, nice owners Cons: Small, kitchen can get backed up when crowded more
