I came to Floyd Urgent Care in late December 2005 to see Dr. Allan Purdie with severe pain in my back and even worse pain shooting down and burning in my right leg. He quickly diagnosed the issue as Sciatica. He treated me wonderful and gave me adequate pain medication and treatment to keep me comfortable until I was able to see my regular doctor. Later I was referred to Dr. Martin with Harbin Clinic Neurology. I have since received 2 epidural cortisone injections and they have worked wonderful for the Sciatica leg pain. I still suffer from the lower lubar back pain... I have two herniated discs (L4-L5, L5-S1) and am currently being treated with pain medication and other treatment until I am ready for surgery to correct this issue. But anyway, back to Dr. Purdie... he was EXCELLENT!!! Listened to my complaints and concerns and provided me with excellent medication and treatment options until I could see my regular doctor. PRAISE goes out to Dr. Purdie. If you are looking for someone who can treat you right and fairly during an emergency situation, I would not hesitate to recommend you go visit Dr. Purdie at Floyd Urgent Care off Shorter Avenue ASAP.
