I have never been to a restaurant in any country whose service was as rude as Ararat's. Have you ever been told at a restaurant that your time is up in 10 minutes and the next party will be seated at that time? We were just done with our main course when the server came and asked if we wanted any dessert. We looked over the menu and did not want any. At this point she said ""By the way, you only have 10 minutes till the next party arrives, so pace yourselves..."" We were shocked. I guess we must not have asked the check ""on-time"" because she came back and reminded us yet again we have less than 10 minutes. We got the check and found out that they charged 18% gratuity. When we talked to their manager and complained about the ""10 minute deal"" she said: ""sorry, someone should have told you when you made your reservation that it is only for 2 hours and we can not accept less than 18%"" \r

I am not even including the rude behavior by the server prior to reminding us the 10 minutes. Their belly dancer had no idea about belly dancing and clearly the management has no idea about how Middle Eastern food is served and how guests are treated in the Middle East. \r

I recommend that you stay away from Ararat if you would like to have a nice, peaceful dinner with your friends. If you like being rushed into finishing your food without digesting, go for it!\r
