A day short of graduation, and then I find this study sanctuary. The library is equipped with wireless internet, a cute kids and teens section (wish they had that when I was growing up...), a used DVD/music/bookstore and interesting featured book displays. Its a great alternative place to study (Im so sick of Panera and their lack of reliable wireless) and to top it off, the air-co is not blasting, its just right. Minus the occasional homeless, this library is wonderful.\r

The architecture has that stiff coldness to it, but it reminds you that hey, I'm sitting in a work of technology-not art. I went online and found that this renovation was in the makings years ago. Its nice to see it finally done--it was definitely worth the wait. \r

They also have a great cafeBookmark. Its not just convenient, they actually have good food! Try the chicken Panini (see the chalkboard behind the counter--lightly toasted with lite n savory pesto-mayo) or make your own smoothie. They are really nice so feel free to ask for suggestions. They'll bring your food right out to you on the patio (though they often bring the food to the wrong table!)
Pros: free wireless, featured selections, active book n community programs (see website)
Cons: hours--10am is way too late
