I went for dinner at Mill on the River in August '05. The food was delicious -- I had filet mignon with shrimp and the best tomato salad ever. My boyfriend and I chose this restaurant because it was rated ""most romantic."" However, we were seated in the middle of the room -- no view, and we kinda felt out in the open -- it was not intimate or romantic at all. Not to mention, they have a beautiful deck overlooking the water, but you can't eat out there. I was disappointed with the atmosphere, though the food was good. For romance, you probably could find better.
Pros: Good food
Cons: Kind of a hike from the Hartford area, wasn't as romantic as promised
