The $45 six course prix fixe is a good deal but unless you have over 3 hours set aside, be prepared for a long wait. The place is obviously understaffed, there are 2 servers for the entire restaurant & 1 chef manning the kitchen. There is no way to speed up the order and when I asked nicely if it was possible, I was told that ""everything is made to order."" Is this not the case in most restaurants? Ironically, I tried to accommodate THEM by requesting for dessert after 3 dishes and was told off by the server for being impatient and that we had only been there for ""less than an hour."" Meanwhile we had been there for literally 1 & 1/2 hrs. Of course, no apologies whatsover when she was a**-ed out. The chef even came out to defend himself and telling us ""this is not fast food"" which I do realize and granted if the food was mind blowing I might feel slightly embarrassed. Unfortunately the food was barely above average and it was 11:30pm on a Wed night. Even a 7 course meal at Per Se does not take this long and the staff need to realize that they are NOT Per Se. Not a good idea to insinuate that the customer does not know how to appreciate fine dining. The chef clearly has high aspirations which is fine but there is no need to be so full of it and to insult your guests. Very disappointed with the service. Definitely will not be back.
Pros: Good value, relaxing atmosphere
Cons: Extremely slow service, arrogant staff
