Pappas Bros. is a lovely place to eat, and their filet is better than any I've tried (I've tried many but not all in Dallas). The food is deadly, of course, but great if you're seeking to indulge. They butter their steaks, which is fine by me because butter is so delicious. And if anything is wrong, they have always seemed eager to make it right. Sometimes they overcook, for example, but they will sweep the offending cut away and promptly replace it. The creme brulee is wonderful and covered with berries. The cheesecake is also a standout. The Caesar salad is very nice as well, but I haven't developed a fondness for any of the sides although I have tried most. Overall, I would say that dinner is well worth the money for a special occasion (I got enaged here not long ago), or it can brighten up a Tuesday.
Pros: food is delicious; prices are reasonable
Cons: valet parking; I've probably shaved a few years off my life by coming here
