if you go to merced, this is the place to stay, although i cant imagine someone vacationing in merced. this is more of a place where you would go if you had family staying in the area or perhaps a wedding to go to. it is a pretty nice hotel. probably the best to stay at in the area. typical amenities: pool, ice machine, ac, etc. very friendly staff-- put up with us when we forgot our card to our room about eight times! check in and out was easy. if you are going to be in merced, stay here.funny part: it was about 115 degrees there when i stayed and they had a sign on the vending machine that said buy candy at your own risk-- it may be melted
