We have seriously eaten at Mel's perhaps more than 100 times. It is very close to where we live and always really easy and reliable. They provide free valet parking, which is nice, and we always just tip the guy a buck.\r

One great thing: They keep iced coffee and iced decaf in a refrigerator! I know this sounds stupid, but it is a great thing to me. Everywhere else when you order an iced coffee they pour hot coffee over ice, and then you just get luke warm coffee. At Mel's you get GOOD iced coffee that is cold and not watered down!\r

Great omelettes and sandwiches here as well. My only complaint is that it keeps getting more expensive. It used to cost us about $20 to eat lunch here. Now it seems to always be over $30. But the food is always good and most of the waitstaff are great. Also you can always seat yourself and we have never had to wait for a table.
Pros: ICED coffee-not lukewarm coffee! Good food and service.
Cons: getting pricey
