Hola! Originally from Columbia raised in Florida moved here 2 years ago with my husband. We started looking for great latin restaurants. To our surprise, we found many spanish restaurants here in Chicago, but only a few stood out. Iberico was a lot of fun, but i have to say that La Tasca in Arlington Heights has to be one of the best spanish restaurants in the Chicagoland area. The consistancy and flavors of the food are second to none. The portions seem to be a bit larger than the other tapas restaurants we have been to. Not only that the flavors are more traditional and creative. Thier homemade sangria is much better than anywhere else. The wine list is very extensive. We always order the pulpitos (grilled octopus) which is so fresh and are cooked to perfection- charred flavor yet tender and flavorful. We also enjoy the paella which is by far the best we have had in Chicago. The service is great and the staff is very knowledgable. I highly recommend La Tasca in Arlington Heights.
Pros: Atmosphere, Clean, Live Entertainment
Cons: Let you know when i find one!
