My husband and I went to Capitol Grill for my birthday. Although the atmosphere was very romantic (rose petals on the table), the food left much to be desired. We ordered the scallop appetizer, and for about $14 got TWO scallops (they were only okay - a bit chewy). I ordered a filet for dinner and asked for medium to medium-well. This filet had to be one of the driest and most uninteresting filets that I've ever ordered at a fine restaurant. It even had a good bit of fat that I had to trim off. When you spend over $200 for a meal for two, you expect everything to be just about perfect. We didn't even bother getting desert, but opted to go to F.Scott's for a more interesting enviornment. Definitely choose somewhere else for a ""fine dining"" experience.
