If you ever find yourself traveling down highway 101 out past Shelton, or on your way to Aberdeen or Ocean Shores, stop by the Character's Corner. It's right off the road on the 101 and it has everything a person could ever need in a bar. The beer selection is outstanding for a bar that's so far out of the way! The food is a pretty big surprise as well. The entire menu is a pretty long list of perfect pub/bar food! jo jo's, chicken strips, burgers, fries, clams (I believe) and at least a dozen other choices adorn the list. Also, they have a daily special that they post on their ""specials"" board that gives a really 'home cooked' feel to the place. This place might be quaint and out of the way, but it has it's share of entertainment for those looking to spend a night living it up. There's pool, shuffleboard (a great pub game when you're drinking!), Darts, and an internet jukebox with a good sound system set up around the room. Also, if you want to go and catch the Seahawks, Mariners, or Soincs, they have Cable powered TV's set up, including one big-screen in the main bar area! Live music, karaoke and open mic nights occur from time to time and there's always a fun crowd around on the weekends. The Character's Corner is a really friendly, ""pull up a bar stool and stay for a while"" kind of bar. If you want a not-so-crowded bar, go there for a drink after work or during lunch. If you want a more busy, but still friendly environment, go at night when some of the locals venture to their favorite watering hole. This is by far one of my all time favorite bars and I go there every time I'm in the area! \r
