Avoid MAG when it comes to any repair work 7/13/2006

Could not get to 01 VW on 1st appt; made 2nd appt; MAG did not carry over all items to 2nd work order and did not check timing belt for noise heard but completed $600 worth of other work; belt broke on freeway w/in a week; destroyed valves, cylinders, etc.; total to fix car est. over $6K; they refused to admit they didn't copy the entire 1st work order - said they delete all work orders if work not done on 1st appt and start over; how did they still have some of the uncompleted work in their computer to fill out 2nd work order? MAG DID manage to install their company license plate holder and new hardware even though it was not requested and car was not purchased from them originally - made sure they got that free advertising! Have to buy another car and have car rental bills. AND they made us pay to diagnose the problem! Will NEVER return and suggest readers do not. more
