Nick's is easily my favorite bar/restaurant in the downtown Madison area, though it's not for everyone. It has unique vintage decor coupled with a laidback atmosphere and friendly staff. It's ideally suited for dinner and drinks, as the food and beverages are of good quality and reasonable price, and Nick's is best at night. The jukebox has a selection that I have not seen matched in my four years at UW-Madison.
PROS: It transcends a mere list of pros.
CONS: Not a "party" sort of bar atmosphere, if that's what you're looking for
