This place is extremely easy to overlook as it is in a seedy part of town, neverless there is something to be said for this place. The menu is creative, but you get the feeling that the fire and passion of making the special rolls and sushi on the menu left the sushi chef years ago. Wonderful mixes of ingredients on paper turn out to be a mess on the plate. Little artistry to be found, and the taste is sub-standard. The place could use a little renovation that might put a creative jolt back into the sushi chef. Look elsewhere for great sushi in Portland (because we are fortunate enough to have a few places that are spectacular).
Pros: Creative menu, warm plates
Cons: less fresh, chef has lost his fire
