After reading all the great reviews of this place, I was psyched to make an appointment for their advertised "Mother to Be" massage. It sounded great. I was totally disappointed. Despite listing a pre-natal massage in their list of options, they do not have a special "tummy table" for expectant mothers. When I told the secretary that they should note this in their listing since many people assume this is a standard feature of a pre-natal massage, she said they only tell women they don't have the table if they specifically ask when booking the appointment!
Even though I told my therapist ahead of time that my hips were stiff, she didn't even touch those muscles. She also didn't do my hamstrings or the rest of the back of my legs. On the rest of the massage, I didn't find her to be a particularly skilled massage artist. Since they didn't have the special table, I had to lay on my side for half of the massage. Definitely far less effective than being on your stomach. The therapist was appologetic when I brought up my concerns about my hips and legs in the lobby, but made no offer to correct the situation. (She abruptly left at the end of the massage, so I couldn't bring it up while still in the room.)
I've written a letter to management, so we'll see if they can resolve this matter effectively.
