We chose Monica's somewhat on a whim, and I'm glad we did. It was a rainy Wednesday and the north end was not packed with visitors, which made for a better overall experience. We were seated at a window seat and had the restaurant to ourselves. Even though I walk Richmond st quite often, I'd never really noticed Monica's, which is almost directly above the entrance to the Callahan tunnel. The bruschetta, lobster raviolli and pollo saltimbocca were all outstanding. The waiter was attentive, gave good honest opinion when asked and enhanced the meal. Overall, I'd say Monica's is a bit of a hidden gem; the other restaurants may get more tourists, but cannot possibly have higher quality food. We will go back.
