I had a bridesmaid dress shortened and taken in at Maria's -- when I picked it up, the fabric was kinked because she had taken an iron to delicate fabric (and told me I had left it with her that way), the bottom of the dress was crooked by over an inch (and she ""measured"" with a ruler when I pointed this out by pulling hard on one side and letting it hang slack on the other and told me it was only a quarter of an inch crooked), AND the lining of the dress was longer in some places than the overlayer. To top it off, when I said I wouldn't pay, she told me that she knew ""my type,"" that I was ""going to take the dress and wear it just as it was and got a free alteration."" She ruined my dress AND insulted me.
