This is _the_ place to get excellent old-fashioned drinks, carefully prepared, and great classic burgers and fries. None of the ""international"" food ever looked v enticing to me, but if I were a vegetarian, I'd just go with a huge side order of fries. The place is completely unpretentious, with wonderful old tiles and an open fireplace that actually has a fire in the winter. Usually, it draws a very agreeable mixed crowd. The music is always good and unobtrusive. While there, don't forget to take a look at the upstairs bathroom.
