My Foodie friends and I dug all the inventive, earthy eats with organic, seasonal surprises ... (Brook Trout, flatbread pizzas, Ipswich Clams!) we also find that the wines are fine and the usual LA restaurant whines are few and far between at Ford's... the main room is cozy and communal with its exposed brick and wood-burning oven backdrop and the covered patio can be a catbird seat for the street-scene and here-comes-summer breezes... This place is a definite oasis for us locals and the vibe can vary from laid-back to boisterous depending on when you book...and definitely call for a reservation...the up-for-grab bar seats and bar tables go fast...as do the tables outside.
