If you find yourself hungry for BBQ in South Tampa, there aren't many options. You could go to Fred Flemings, Kojacks, or a chain that may have an accidental BBQ item on the menu. Given the selection, Jimbo's is a real find! They have a smoker on site (and will even smoke your own meat for you, just ask!) and the food is always top notch. The ribs are fantastic, the chopped pork sandwich is excellent, the sauce is the perfect mix of spice and flavor. While they don't offer a brisket sandiwch, ask for the sliced beef sandwich ""chopped."" It's the closest to Texas BBQ around. Don't leave without ordering a dozen hush puppies! If you're interested in something different, try them for breakfast on a weekend.
