The most uncomfortable experience I have ever had. For a table of 6, our order consisted of 4 entrees, a $27 bottle of wine, and 3 appetizers. Apparently we were not spending enough money. Before long, our waiter continued to scold us on the rules, mentioning that it is an entree per person on the weekends. When I asked for a table, I specifically mentioned that we had six people, four for dinner, two for drinks and appetizers. Had the hostess mentioned this in the beginning, the whole episode could have been avoided. In a calm matter we simply asked for a different waiter, instead we were greeted by the chef, he leaned over our table and said ""the wine is on me, finish your drinks, then get out, enough with the attitude"". For a truly enjoyable dining experience in the North End, I would highly suggest avoiding Monica's.
