No other sushi restaurant within SF has fish as high quality and fresh as Sushi-Ko. I've been to a number of places in San Francisco and found myself disappointed often. Many places care more for presentation & prices rather than quality of the fish itself. Many places overcharge Toro @ $12-18. Sushi-ko has it for $10 and is fresh from the market and not frozen like other places. They are one of few places that serve REAL wasabi root - not green colored horse radish that comes from a tube. **Must request for ""real wasabi"" when placing orders.**
Recommended:
Sake - fresh salmon
Unagi - toasted & crispy on edges
Aji - spanish mackeral - one of my favorites
Kaki - oyster that's got a ponzu bite to it
Toro - fatty tuna melts in your mouth
Chef's Creation - not on the menu
Scallop Carpaccio - freshly sliced scallops
Pros: Fresh Ingredients, Friendly Service
Cons: Far from SF
