I have had breakfast, lunch, cocktails, and dinner at Blue Hour on trips to Portland and the last one was perhaps the best. The calamari appetizer with green lentils was a delightful combination. The lamb was an outstanding entree, the red beet and orange salad imaginative and delicious. There seems to be a desert for every palate, heavy or light. I noticed a new feature: cheese plates. I didnt try one but applaud the effort to offer something different for those who want to feast on wine and cheese. The tables are well spaced so that you dont have to have interaction with other diners and can actually carry on a conversation with your companions. I have always found the service pleasant, informative, and discrete. They are having a half-off wine promotion on Sundays, I was able to enjoy a wine I would otherwise not try because of my budget.
