First let me say that Portland City Search should be ashamed for listing this as a recommeded "romantic" spot for couples. That in of itself set my expectations for something that the Rheinlander is NOT! I would better describe the atmosphere as family style, upscale Elmers or Marie Calendars. So if you are looking for a romatic restaurant this is not the place.
Never the less, my husband and I decided the menu looked promising so we decided to stay. Huge mistake! My dish was so over cooked (after waiting and waiting and waiting) that I had to send it back.
Bottom line, 1) for the price of the food it should be well prepared- I can't believe the waiter even brought my dish to the table. 2) Great for a soccer team gathering, NOT a romantic date.
