I recently purchased a Trane XR90 furnace and coil from Advanced Air Conditioning. After they installed the unit we discovered that:\r
(1) The heat pump ran when the auxiliary heat was on.\r
(2) The furnace was not regulated by the thermostat when the emergency heat was on. The only way to turn it off was to open the furnace.\r
(3) The air conditioner did not cool.\r
(4) The heat pump ran when the fan was turned on (with the heat and ac turned off).\r
(5) Ten days after it was installed the unit was 5 lbs low on R22 (per the tech who checked).\r
(6) The tape that seals the vent to the ceiling was pulled loose and not repaired.\r
It took two service visits for Advanced Air Conditioning to discover that the heat pump had been wired incorrectly. They refuse to check the unit for leaks of R22 even though their tech recommended it and felt that the problem occurred during installation.\r
