I've lived in the area for quite some time and have seen this place go through many, many different staff members. Some are good, great even, and then there are the others. If you catch this place in the right month the service and the food are well worth a visit. I can say, however, that I've never been disappointed with a pint in this place. The bar staff somehow manages to always be good. Your best bet is to walk in, have a pint at the bar, check out the people seated or even ask some about the service and then make your decision to either stay for food or move on.
